Key details

Key details

Autodesk ReCap Pro training for new users, teaching how to create 2D plans and 3D models from photographs or laser scans of sites or objects.

ReCap Pro is a point cloud application used by designers and engineers for reality capture – the creation of 2D plans and 3D models from photographs, such as those taken by drones, or laser scans of sites or objects. You can then import the plans and models you create into the applications you use, such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, InfraWorks or AutoCAD.

ReCap Pro training provides a thorough grounding, teaching key techniques including:

  • Importing files
  • Creating a ReCap Pro project from point cloud data
  • Viewing, navigating and changing the appearance of points clouds
  • Selecting and clipping points
  • Limiting volumes within a point cloud
  • Working with scans
  • Cleaning up your project
  • Measurements
  • Preparing your project for export

ReCap Pro training is arranged on-request, i.e. one-to-one training or a ‘closed course’ for your group. Your training can be tailored to take into account any existing knowledge you have, and the work you’re going to be doing.

In-class or online

This course is available in-class at eight centres or live online.

Accredited ReCap Pro training

Armada is an Autodesk Authorised Training Centre (ATC), and our ReCap Pro training courses are accredited by Autodesk.

ReCap Pro training is hosted by an Autodesk Certified Instructor. For details, click here.

How will I learn?

ReCap Pro training is hands-on and practical.

Our trainers teach the necessary theory then demonstrate techniques step-by-step. You then practice the techniques taught on a computer running licensed ReCap Pro software.

There’s plenty of time to ask questions, and you can take away all the files you create.

Training guide and certificate

Course delegates receive:

  • Comprehensive training notes, to refer to throughout the course and use as a refresher after.
  • An e-certificate confirming successful completion of an accredited ReCap Pro training course.

After course support

Following ReCap Pro training, delegates are entitled to 30 days’ email support from their ReCap Pro trainer to help with any post-course issues. For further details, see Support.

ReCap Pro version

Training can be based on any recent version of ReCap Pro to suit you.
